Sleep Retreat: a holistic approach to better sleep with Yoga Therapist Gill Mines

In this half-day retreat Gill will take you through several practices and offer mindfulness tools to promote better sleep:

  • “Morning’ / ‘day time’ practice: movement to energise, nourish and replenish especially helpful after an interrupted night’s sleep 

  • Yoga nidra meditation, sleep of the yogis: a deeply restorative meditation for supporting sleep (practiced lying down) 

  • Mindfulness tools and reframing sleep / sleep hygiene tools and recommendations 

  • ‘Evening practice’: gentle, softening and releasing the tensions of the day movement practice to support sleep pressure and calming breathing tools to regulate the nervous system 

  • Progressive muscle relaxation body scan meditation for supporting sleep pressure 

  • Questions and sharing experiences 🙏

Recordings of the practices and other resources will be shared so participants can continue exploring what works best for them at home .There will be a tea break with homemade treats.

Gill is an experienced yoga therapist and practicing trainee psychotherapist.
