In this workshop, we explore the somatic qualities of autumn – the season of release, transformation, and moving within. Drawing from the teachings of Chinese Medicine, we focus on the Metal element, the Large Intestine and the Lungs, which govern our ability to let go, create space and welcome new possibilities. Through Yoga, Somatics, and Meridian Stretching practices, we will work to release old patterns, restore balance, and strengthen our connection to the breath. Through these practices, we will:
Cultivate openness and clarity in the chest and lungs.
Explore the dynamic relationship between holding and releasing, strength and softness.
Connect with the energetic qualities of the Lungs and the Large Intestine to support emotional resilience, good boundaries and inner freedom.
Establish practices that promote balance, ease, and vitality as we transition into the latter part of the year.
This workshop offers an opportunity to embrace autumn’s transformative energy, creating space for the breath to move smoothly and rhythmically.
