Zero Resistance yoga with James Pritchard

Adhyatmika krama is the style of zero resistance, or the spiritual order of yoga, relating to the soul. Through zero resistance, the aspirant aims to free themselves from the constraints of the body and practice vairagya, bringing the joy and freedom of non-attachment.

Tirumalai Krishnamacharya was the teacher of BKS Iyengar and K Patabi Jois, who introduced Iyengar yoga and Astanga yoga to the world.  Krishnamacharya is known as the ‘father of modern yoga’ and through his long life, practiced 5 styles of yoga krama, interpreted in different ways by his celebrated students.  Adhyatmika krama became his focus later in life when ALV Kumar was his student.  It is the style of zero resistance, or the spiritual order of yoga, relating to the soul.  Through zero resistance, the aspirant aims to free themselves from the constraints of the body and practice vairagya, bringing the joy and freedom of non-attachment.

This workshop offers a brief introduction to adhyatmika krama, through asana practice, explanation, relaxation, observation, and meditation.  No previous experience is required. Book here
