Explore the two-way connection between mind, gut and nervous system, experience through yoga and nutrition how you can better balance your physical and mental wellbeing
Join us at Vishuddha Yoga Centre for a nourishing half-day workshop discovering one of the most fascinating areas of health: the two-way relationship between the gut and the brain.
Our nervous system and digestive system are in constant communication.
Stress influences the nervous system, impacting our bodies, digestion, bowel function and the gut microbiome, while changes within the gut affect the way we feel, think and respond to the world around us.
Increasingly, research is also highlighting the role of the gut microbiome far beyond digestion, with links to immune function, metabolic health, inflammation, mood and overall wellbeing.
During the workshop, Daniela Tramonti will explore the gut–mind connection using yoga, breathwork and nervous-system-supportive practices to help regulate the stress response and create the conditions for healthy digestion and greater resilience.
Milena Mastroianni, Registered Nutritional Therapist, will then explore the relationship from the gut up. You will discover how food and lifestyle can influence the gut microbiome, why microbial diversity matters, and how supporting the gut environment may have effects that extend well beyond digestive symptoms, including our mood, energy, immune health and wider physical wellbeing.
Together, the two sessions will bring the science of the mind–brain axis to life in a practical and approachable way, giving you simple strategies and inspiration you can begin using in everyday life.
Set within the calm and intimate surroundings of Vishuddha Yoga Centre, the workshop combines intelligent movement, evidence-informed conversations on nutrition, with time for questions and discussion.
No previous yoga or nutrition knowledge is needed, and the session is suitable for all levels.
Places are intentionally limited to preserve a spacious and personalised setting. Gut healthy snacks and drinks will be provided. Goodie bag also included.
Cost: £78 (Early bird price until September 30th £68 with promo code AXIS). Book here.
