Posture and Balance Workshop with Rachel James

In this workshop, we will find out what is good posture and its benefits, and what is bad posture and its downfalls. I will give a brief talk on the theory of posture. Expect to learn a bit about the different day-to-day misalignments and syndromes and if you might have them! There will be lots of basic movements to address the imbalance of muscle groups and lots of core stability exercises. Our most comfortable and natural posture may not be the best posture. Poor posture can affect our balance making falls more likely.  This is why we will also be looking at the basics of balancing and doing some balance assessments and practices that will help you improve your balance. Balancing safely is a longevity practice and depends on the vestibular reflex system which can be improved. The session will be followed by light refreshments in the Vishuddha social area.

This workshop is available in studio or online. Make sure you book the correct session.
Cost: £45. Book here.
