In this workshop we will look at how a rajasic practice, characterised by more energetic or strong asanas, can help us to shift tamas (lethargy, lack of clarity or low mood). This will include practicing standing, heart-opening, and inverted asanas, with a focus on creating space in the body and lifting energy and mood. The latter part of the workshop will move in to sattvic practice to balance rajas with a sense of lightness and calm. This will include restorative practices and pranayama.
This workshop is suitable for students who have been practicing Iyengar yoga regularly for a minimum of three years.
